Celebrate National Peanut Butter Lovers Day With These 3 Sundaes
on Friday, March 2, 2018Happy National Peanut Butter Lovers Day to everyone that adores peanut butter as much as we do!
March 1st is one of two annual days of peanut butter celebration (January 24th is National Peanut Butter Day), and though the origins of this holiday are unknown, we’re still more than happy to celebrate! We even sourced a few fun facts for our fellow peanut heads:
-Peanut butter was first sold in the United States at the Universal Exposition in St. Louis by C. H. Sumner
-The oldest operating manufacturer and seller of peanut butter has been selling peanut butter since 1908
-Americans spend almost $800 million a year on peanut butter
Now that you’re up to date with your antiquated peanut butter history, here are three sundaes to enjoy as you celebrate this flavorful holiday.
Peanut Butter Cheesecake – Fill your cup with cheesecake froyo before liberally burying it under mounds of peanuts, rivers of caramel sauce, and a generous scoop of Butterfinger pieces.
You Got Your Peanut Butter in My Chocolate! – Lay a foundation of crushed peanuts in your cup before filling it with rich, classic chocolate froyo. Top with more peanuts, hot fudge, and a big scoop of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.
Pad Thai Ice Cream Sundae – Combine coconut froyo, crushed peanuts, shaved coconut, and waffle pieces to create this nod to a classic Thai dish.
